Where
SEM 2 E2105 - Workshop

Climate Café
Wednesdays for Undergrads, Thursdays for Grads* | 4:00 – 5:00 PM | Seminar II E-2105

Undergrads: Join us at the Climate Café, a relaxed weekly gathering space where you can recharge and chill, or join folx in exploring sustainability and solarpunk ideas in a positive light. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, unwind, and watch a curated selection of short films and YouTube media from series like NowThis Earth's "Can It Save the Planet?" that showcase innovative and inspirational approaches to environmental and human challenges. Hosted by the Climate Center's Assistant Director, Michael Joseph.

This is a great opportunity to engage in light discussions about sustainability, share resources, or learn about upcoming campus initiatives. If you’re working on your own sustainability projects, you can visit www.evergreen.edu/climate to book a future Climate Cafe (or outside of the Cafe) to get peer-consultation and staff-guidance on taking your ideas forward.

You’re welcome to come, whether for the films, a cozy space to hang out, or just to tune out in the "book nook" and enjoy some quiet time with our sustainability-themed coloring books, light reading, and eco-themed board games. Even on days when no Climate Center staff are able to attend, the space is still open for you to relax, recharge, and connect.

No commitment is needed—just drop by and join for a chill, regenerative hour!
*Graduates: Hosted every Thursday the hour before most Evening Weekend Studies (EWS) for the Grad Cafe, a welcoming space for MPA, MES, and MIT grad students to grab a free coffee or tea, connect with peers, or dive into school work. Whether you’re looking for a chat with fellow students or a quiet corner to tune out with your headphones, the Grad Cafe offers a relaxing environment to recharge before class. Tuesdays held on the Tacoma Sankofa Campus.
