Climate Lecture Series hosts academics and professionals who work on important climate issues on Wednesday week 3 and 7 from 11:30am - 1pm. 

JANUARY 21st, 2026 

How can games educate and train us in climate justice, ecology science, systems thinking, and build collaboration in our modern-day students?

Join us as guest panelists explore this topic. WIth Evergreen faculty Sam Saltiel and leading game designers, including creators of the indigenous futurist story-game Coyote & Crow and local alumni business owner of Heart of the Deernicorn. As well as indigenous game designer Andrew Gross, creator of the Solarpunk TTRPG Fully Automated

Our guests will speak on how Washington state is the global capital of game design. As well as the role that tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) are having for incarcerated individuals, and as supplemental therapeutic Social Emotional learning (SEL) for children development post-pandemic.

Light snacks, hot tea/coffee and refreshments provided to help us through the winter season.
