Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator: Beginning-to-Advanced Skill Building -- Individual Projects

This is a remote home-studio intensive course for all students regardless of skill-level in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator. This projects-based course will support students in either gaining or building on foundational knowledge in Adobe digital design software through instructional tutorials, group critique sessions, and one-on-one instructor mentoring and support. Students in this course will propose and complete a larger scale multi-asset individual digital design project in order to gain valuable experience in conceiving of, developing, and realizing a design-based project that is suitable for a professional digital design portfolio. 

Students will assemble an individual web portfolio for this course that demonstrates their ability to propose and complete a multi-asset digital design project. 

Tech, Connectivity, and Home-Studio Space needs: In order to participate in this remote-learning course, students will need access to a newer laptop, or desktop computer that has a multi-core processor and at least 8GB of RAM and access to a reliable internet connection. Our work will be conducted remotely, using Canvas and Zoom. 

Students will be given access to a remote Adobe Creative Cloud license from Evergreen during the course.

All students will receive and submit course assignments on Canvas following weekly submission deadlines. Students will participate in 4 hours of remote synchronous Zoom project development instruction, project work and project critique on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm and should expect to spend an additional 6-10 hours outside of class time per week on their projects.
