Building upon the foundational knowledge gained in our previous course, Fundamentals of Database Management, Advanced Database Management furthers student understanding. This course dives deeper into the intricacies of database manipulation, covering Data Manipulation Language (DML), Data Definition Language (DDL), and Data Control Language (DCL). Students will gain a basic understanding of PL/SQL, a powerful extension of SQL for procedural programming within the database environment. This course will also cover introductory topics in database administration, providing essential skills for managing and maintaining database systems effectively. Students will summarize their learning with a comprehensive final project, where their knowledge will be applied in order to solve real-world database challenges. Through interactive Zoom sessions and hands-on exercises, this course equips students with the advanced database management skills needed for roles requiring expertise in database development.

Registration

To succeed in this course, students will need to have successfully completed Fundamentals of Database Management or equivalent.
