This half-time fully remote program is for students interested in the financial development and operation of business and social enterprises. In this program students will gain knowledge and skills on how to create and operate financially successful and sustainable businesses and non-profits. Learning objectives will include fundamentals in business finance, investment decision strategy, business economics, financial accounting (journal and ledger posting, financial statements preparation and analysis), and payroll accounting.

This program is designed to facilitate student’s learning through active involvement in seminar discussions, workshops and team activities. Students can also expect to engage their learning effort through case study projects and/or business venture proposals that integrate program materials with real life situations and issues.

The teaching modality for this program will consist of 4 hours of synchronous (scheduled) and 4 hours of asynchronous coursework per week using Canvas and Zoom. Successful participation in this program requires internet access and basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
