This 8 to 12-credit (variable credit) internship program is intended for students with a general foundation and interest in entrepreneurship, business, social/sustainability entrepreneurship, leadership, and management. It is offered to students interested in an internship experience with a business or enterprise involved in the private sector. Students are required to make solid arrangements with an enterprise to shape an internship. This program offers a variety of internship opportunities with enterprises: You must be matched with a specific internship opportunity in an enterprise before the program begins. This may require an interview process with an enterprise partner before the start of the program. Contact Tamsin Foucrier (tamsin.foucrier@evergreen.edu) or Page Archer (pagea@evergreen.edu) to explore the opportunities listed below. A signature from faculty is also required to register for this program.
Through this program, students will develop strong links to enterprises in the private sector that will host and guide their work. Please note that this program includes 4 credits of academic work throughout the quarter, in addition to 4 or 8 credits of internship work throughout the quarter.

To prepare for this internship program, students are encouraged to take the following fall and winter quarter courses: Introduction to Professional Skills in the fall quarter and Intermediate Professional Skills in the winter quarter. These courses will help prepare students to engage in collaborative teamwork, responsive project management, conflict resolution, effective teamwork, stakeholder facilitation, and other skills during their internship experiences.
The technology required for successful engagement includes high-speed internet and a computer (not just a cell phone) for Canvas; Online Research; Zoom (including breakout rooms with audio and video); Film streaming services through the Evergreen Library; and MS Office 365, including One-Drive. If students cannot participate due to technology, caregiving obligations, economic disruption, health risk, or illness, they should proactively work with faculty to pursue alternate options to earn related or reduced credit. Using Canvas, students can expect remote teaching to be around 3-4 hours of synchronous (scheduled) coursework every week.
