The business systems program prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in a business management career or in a Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, or similar professional degree program.
Students in the Strategic Analysis course will develop the skills needed to evaluate the performance of a business firm and make long-range decisions about its future. We will learn how to apply game theory to analyze market structure and competition; develop and visually present business and economic performance indicators; and analyze data to support business decisions. By the end of this course, students will have demonstrated their ability to:
- Use game theory to support business decision-making
- Interpret and graphically present performance indicator data
- Conduct and interpret statistical tests using business and economic data
- Write convincing arguments based on your data analysis
This program is in the Business Systems sequence including Business Systems: Managing Organizations (fall), in winter, Business Systems: Finance and Budgeting (winter), and Business Systems: Strategic Analysis (spring).
