This Exploratory and Entry level class will introduce concepts of biology to students who are curious about how life works. Through reading, note taking, viewing, discussing, hand-on activities, and demonstrative presentations, we will gain conceptual understanding how life organizes and substances itself, yet changes over time in response to its environment. We will learn how life has been studied and why knowledge about life is going to become more importance in the future in our choices about how people should live. Facing the environmental changes on our tiny perhaps singular planet, biology is an essential literacy for all global citizens.
