This course integrates a seminar with a practicum to prepare students to become paid peer tutors at Evergreen's Writing Center. With an emphasis on linguistic justice and antiracism work, we will read and discuss tutoring theories, develop effective practices, and address working with writers across significant differences. In the practicum, students will observe peer tutors and practice tutoring.

The class involves participation in a weekly in-person class, as well as two additional hours of practicum at the Writing Center. If you would like to take this course and the time and location conflict with your program, please reach out to the faculty to discuss an asynchronous option.
