We will also engage in community-building activities through storytelling and resource-sharing practices that build on students' background and knowledge.

Study Abroad to BC, Canada: The last two weeks of the program will consist of a 10-day study abroad travel component developed in partnership with the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC. Students will travel as a group to Abbotsford, BC, stay in campus dorms at the University of the Fraser Valley, and engage in study of immigrant communities in Canada through local exploration, community engagement, seminar readings, and educational lectures.
