Software and website accessibility is becoming the norm. More and more countries are adopting laws that require these digital products to be accessible to all people. I was previously the Head of Accessibility Engineering at a global, multi-billion dollar software company and I want to teach you how to perform a full accessibility QA analysis.

In this comprehensive 8-credit program, you will dive deep into the world of accessibility evaluation, gaining the skills necessary to ensure digital products are inclusive and accessible to everyone. The program will include:

  • Weekly Seminars: Engaging discussions on disability awareness and disability exclusion in tech.

  • Manual Testing Methodologies: Learn to evaluate systems through manual testing methods such as color contrasts, reading levels of content, alternative navigation testing, voice control testing, and screen reader testing.

  • Automated Testing Methods and Tools: Discover and utilize automated tools to enhance accessibility testing.

  • Disability Advocacy and Leadership Skills: Develop advocacy and leadership skills to champion accessibility within organizations.

Prepare to make a significant impact in the tech world by ensuring digital inclusivity for all. This course will empower you with the knowledge and practical experience needed to lead accessibility initiatives and promote a more inclusive digital environment.

Note: Previous programming experience is not required for this program. However, some knowledge or familiarity of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and browser development tools) might come in handy during the automated testing portion. This program will have a focus on testing, not development of accessible systems or problem solving for accessibility fixes.
