The Evergreen Multimedia Arts Internship Program is often simply called the "Media Internship." This internal, in-program internship is a full-time work opportunity housed within Evergreen's Media Services. For the academic year 2025-26, there will be openings for one Audio Internship, one Music Technology Internship, one Production Internship, one Video Internship, and one Photo Internship. This is a program that encourages self-starting and inspired students to pursue their goals and passions through hands-on work in a highly collaborative and professional multimedia environment. Under the guidance of staff supervisors and the faculty sponsor, interns develop the necessary skills to thrive in a post-college environment, including creative collaboration, effective communication, emotionally intelligent leadership, and an interdisciplinary approach to multimedia work.

Students selected for this internship will receive a scholarship covering in-state tuition and lab fees. There is also a unique loaned package of specialized equipment for academic use over the duration of the internship.

This program requires a year-long commitment from Fall through Spring quarters. Students can expect learning and work to be primarily on-premises in their assigned work areas.

Audio, Music Technology, Production, and Video Internships at Electronic Media

The four Electronic Media Interns are an essential part of Electronic Media within Media Services. In addition to their individual and team-based work, the interns provide instructional media support to Evergreen's curriculum, perform maintenance of media labs and equipment, and oversee facilities pertaining to their area of focus. Supported by their field supervisors, interns work full-time in a fast-paced environment as crew members for various campus productions and post-production projects. Additionally, interns lead and attend media workshops and training sessions and actively seek to utilize the areas’ resources to reach their goals. More details about each Electronic Media position can be found on the application webpage linked below.

Graduates from the Media Internship program have successfully furthered their education and launched rewarding careers at leading companies such as Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft. Many work in local, regional and national media organizations. Additionally, they've carved out fulfilling freelance careers in the media sector, embracing roles like cinematographers, sound recordists, producers, and writers, showcasing a wide array of talents and passions.

Photo Internship at Photoland

The Photo Intern is an essential part of Photoland within Media Services. In addition to their supervised personal and team-based work, the intern provides instructional support to Evergreen’s curriculum, conducts maintenance of photography labs and equipment, performs curatorial work for exhibitions in Gallery Photoland, and oversees facilities pertaining to their area of focus. Supported by their field supervisor, the photo intern works full-time in a fast paced and hybrid environment as a crew member for print and photographic production projects and exhibitions in addition to leading and attending workshops and training sessions. The intern will complete a long-term creative project and will work consistently on their portfolio development over the duration of the internship. Students who successfully complete this internship will be prepared to move on to graduate studies and/or to begin careers related to photography, art, museum/gallery operations, photo editing, digital imaging, photographic facilities management, photographic education and more.
