This program is for students interested in the successful development and financial operation of private business enterprises. Students can expect to gain foundational knowledge in business finance and business economics -- essential knowledge for business entrepreneurs and managers. Topics included in this program will include but are not limited to: basic financial accounting (journalizing, ledger posting, trial balance and financial statement analysis), product costing and pricing methodologies, microeconomics, budgeting and taxation, basic knowledge of investment vehicles, risk management and financial institutions.
This program is designed to facilitate learning through active involvement in seminar discussions, workshops and team building activities.Students can expect the remote teaching to be approximately 4 hours of synchronous (scheduled) and 4 hours of asynchronous coursework per week using the Canvas Learning Management System and Zoom.
