This program is for students interested in the successful development and financial operation of business enterprises. Students can expect to gain foundational knowledge and skills in business finance and economics  essential for business entrepreneurs and managers. Learning objectives include but not limited to financial accounting for service and merchandising businesses, financial economics, financial markets and institutions, investment decision and risk assessment analysis.

This fully remote program is designed to facilitate learning through active involvement in seminar discussions, workshops and team learning activities. Students can expect the remote on-line learning to be approximately 4 hours of synchronous (scheduled) and 4 hours of asynchronous coursework per week using the Canvas Learning Management System and Zoom. For the asynchronous portion of the program, students will engage in activities that integrate learning materials with real life situations and issues.

This is the first of two courses that comprise the Financial Management Certificate at Evergreen.
