The class will track national, state, and local elections of significance on a weekly basis. Students will follow developing stories in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other significant national and regional media. They will list their chosen stories and explain why they are important. They will pick at least three races to follow that they will follow closely. Before the November election, all students will prepare reports based on their analysis of their data gathered predicting the outcome of their selected races. On the final day of class, students will present a report on why or why not their predictions were correct or incorrect.
