This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles and practices of information architecture (IA), a critical aspect of designing user-friendly digital experiences. Students will explore how information is organized, structured, and presented in various digital environments, including websites, applications, and databases.
Key topics include understanding user needs and behaviors, creating effective navigation systems, developing taxonomies, and designing wireframes. Through hands-on projects, students will learn how to analyze and evaluate information structures, ensuring that users can find and interact with content easily and intuitively.
The course will also cover best practices for usability testing and the role of IA in enhancing user experience (UX). By the end of the course, students will have the skills to create clear and effective information architectures that support both users and organizational goals.
