This program will offer an intensive introduction to the concepts and methods of college-level general biology and general chemistry through the examination of theories and structures that underlie the natural sciences. We will cover topics in each discipline that are equivalent to half a year of each course of study. The program is intended for students who are interested in pursuing more advanced coursework in biology, chemistry, and environmental sciences.

Assessment of learning will occur through in-class and online quizzes and exams, homework assignments, and laboratory reports.Weekly program activities will include lectures, small-group problem-solving workshops, as well as laboratory work.

8 - General Biology with Laboratory

8 - General Chemistry with Laboratory

Registration

Students should have a solid understanding of mathematics at the Algebra II or Precalculus level.
