This third quarter of a year-long sequence is designed for students who have taken Japanese language studies previously. Hiragana and katakana proficiency is required. Students will continue learning how to function in Japanese in a variety of everyday situations by learning useful expressions and basic sentence structures. More kanji will be introduced. Japanese culture and society will be discussed throughout the course. This is a good preparatory course for students interested in participating in Evergreen's exchange program with University of Miyazaki or University of Hyogo in Japan.
