Course Goals and Outcomes:

  • Communicate with purpose and inspire with confidence
  • Transform performance anxiety into focus and excitement as you learn to harness the energy of nerves into power for delivering your message
  • Build vocal stamina, resonance, and control while strengthening your on-stage and public-speaking presence
  • Apply rhetoric effectively in both acting and public speaking

Course Activities and Expectations:

  • Practice daily vocal exercises and learn the basics mechanics of the voice
  • Perform (for the class) an acting scene
  • Write and deliver an original speech
