Taught By:
People, Place, and Environment is an elective course that will connect to the Evergreen-Tacoma Campus’s 2024-25 Cycle Makers, Cycle Breakers program theme by integrating the fields of human ecology and geography to explore the relationships between humans and the more-than-human world. Within this context, students will apply a place-based approach to examine the ecological and social components of their local environment. This will involve applying concepts, theories, and principles covered to identify, observe, and document ecological interactions and relationships in one’s local community while noting the implications for humans and the more-than-human world.
