Precalculus II is a continuation of the rigorous functions-based study began in precalculus I.   Topics include: trigonometric functions, rational functions, parametric curves, vectors, and polar coordinates and curves.  Each area will be explored algebraically, numerically, graphically, and verbally.  Collaborative learning and mathematical thinking will be emphasized.  A graphing calculator is required for the course. Students who successfully complete precaclulus I and precalculs II will be prepared for calculus.

Collaborative learning will be a fundamental component of the course. Reliable internet access and a graphing calculator, or other graphing software, are required for the course. Students are encouraged to have a camera-enabled device. A small dry-erase board, and markers or a pen-enabled tablet are required. Students should expect 4 hours per week of synchronous meetings using Zoom. Students will have access to alternatives to synchronous participation if conditions require.
