This Seminar class is required for students who are enrolled under 25 credits but open to students who wish to improve their knowledge of Evergreen systems. This intensive course is an ongoing class that introduces students to Evergreen systems. New and returning students will learn introductory knowledge of technical communications including Canvas, Outlook and Microsoft 365. Also, students practice essential college standardized writing, intensive reading skills, public speaking, and delivering presentations as well as math intensives that prepare them to grasp essential concepts to articulate the annual curriculum theme.

In addition, scholarly seminars will address individualized curriculum planning, objective and goal setting, career planning, leadership articulation, mediation / anger de-escalation, health and diet sustenance, as well as working collaboratively in teams.

Students will be expected to submit weekly journal notes, produce two response papers, and present their final oral assessment of learning in front of their peers as their final project. Scholars are introduced to Evergreen and their technology systems that give smooth entry to assignment submission and add insight into the annual curriculum theme. Seminar options total 40 hours over 10 Saturdays per quarter with computer training held from 10am to 2:00pm and Seminars from Noon to 2pm.
