Topics in Mycology is an annually offered elective in the Mycology certificate. Topics change from year to year, typically covering applied areas of mycology or preparation for research projects. This year the focus will be on fungal biodiversity conservation. Throughout the course students will be introduced to key topics in fungal biodiversity conservation and will directly engage with primary literature in this area of mycology. Weekly written reflections, integrated with guided seminar discussions, will help students develop the ability to critically analyze, compare, and synthesize scientific research.
This class will meet synchronously for 4 hours per week. Students should expect additional homework during the week.
