Financial Aid
Financial Aid has counselors available to speak with you about aid options, including grants, loans, scholarships and general guidance for money management. If you have had a decrease in income or unexpected life circumstance, make an appointment for us to explore some options.
Short-term Loans
This option is available to current students during the quarter they are attending. This is a loan from Evergreen that allows students to borrow up to $400. This loan cannot be used for living expenses between quarters.
Students will be charged a $15 origination fee and a $2 service fee for a total of $17 that is paid back when the loan is due. The loan is due 30 days from the date the loan is made, or by the end of the quarter, whichever comes first.

Emergency Fund (Gift Aid)
The Emergency Fund/Gift Aid is available to students with an unexpected financial crisis that would cause the student to not complete the quarter or continue their education. This generally cannot be used to pay a charge owed to Evergreen.
Review the "To be eligible" section at the top of Emergency Fund Application. If eligible, complete the form and submit to Financial Aid.
Basic Needs Center
Located in the College Activities Building, room 135, is the Basic Needs Center. The Center is accessible from the outside of the building, just across from the Costantino Recreation Center. Schedule an Appointment with the Basic Needs Center to visit and retrieve items such as these at no cost to you:
- Hygiene items
- Food pantry and shelf-stable foods
- Books
- Gender-affirming clothing closet
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- And more
Student Wellness Services
The Student Wellness Center promotes student health and emotional well-being. Services are generally free and confidential. Fees may be charged for certain testing and medications. Services offered include medical care, counseling, CARE team coordination, travel consults and connections to resources related to sexual violence prevention and response or Title IX.
College Food Resources
- Thurston County Food Bank: On-campus satellite operated in partnership with the Center for Community-Based Learning and Action. Go to Campus Food Bank to get current hours and options.
- Police Services: Located in SEM I, room 2150, and open 24/7. This is a public food pantry with various easy-to-prepare food items and snacks.
- Housing Community Center Food Pantry: Located left of the free store. This is a free food pantry with items donated by students for students.
- Hungry Greener Voucher Program: Provides limited funds to eligible students that can be used confidentially in the Greenery using your current student ID card. For more information on how to apply, visit Hungry Greener Voucher Program.
- S.N.A.P. (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program): Book an Appointment for SNAP Application Support. If you are eligible, we'll give you a statement to go along with your application.
