Hello. My name is Doreen Swetkis, and I am a member of Evergreen’s faculty, teaching in both the undergraduate curriculum and in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. I served as the MPA Program Director from 2015-2019, and successfully launched the MPA Tacoma cohort, and am currently one of the founding faculty for Evergreen's Professional and Continuing Education school. I am passionate about the public and nonprofit sectors, and the good work that is being accomplished. I am also passionate about our urban areas and the communities that call our cities home. My most recent publication is The 21st Century American City: Race, Ethnicity and Multicultural Urban Life, Third Edition, by Kendall Hunt Publishing, co-authored with Wendy A. Kellogg.
