I have been teaching at Evergreen for over 25 years. I teach programs with themes around marine biology and zoology. My personal research interests involve learning how animals have evolved to live in diverse habitats, including the deep sea and estuaries. I also work with students to investigate symbioses and invasive species. I collaborate with research teams at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute and the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales.

Teaching Style
My programs include lots of hands-on work in the lab and field. My students often take advantage of the great microscopy facilities at Evergreen. I enjoy taking students on field trips to learn about the biodiversity of the Pacific Northwest.
