Location

I have been teaching at Evergreen for over 20 years. Much of that time has been spent developing Silk Roads, Health, Arts and Education, and Virtual Tourism curriculum. I was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine and have lived all over the world, including Israel, China, Moscow, and New York City. My goals are to empower students to strive for authenticity, academic excellence, health, and connection to place and the world.

My academic interests are focused on traditional cultures, arts, health, Chinese philosophy, and medicine. My classes are interdisciplinary. Students are engaged in art making, community building, movement, meditation, international connections, and studies.

I also help organize the annual Evergreen's Lunar New Year celebrations, working with the community to bring together cultural entertainment and educational experiences including food, arts, performances, speakers, workshops, and more.
