I am currently an academic dean, but have taught physics and mathematics at Evergreen. My research area is experimental atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics, with a current interest in quantum optics. I have previously taught at DePauw University and Wabash College.
Education
Ph.D., Physics, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, 2005; M.S., Physics, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, 1997; B.S., Physics and Philosophy, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, 1987.
Teaching Style
I like to organize my teaching with a regular weekly cycle of assignments. In the classroom, I mix interactive lectures with time for students to work together on problems in small groups.
