Make sure the recipient knows what to expect from an Evergreen transcript. Because these transcripts look different from other transcripts, they are sometimes mishandled.
Name Changes
If your name has changed since last attending, you may change your legal name with Registration and Records before ordering on Parchment.
“Send Now” versus “Hold for Grades”
On Parchment
When placing a transcript order on Parchment, Parchment will ask “When do you want this sent?” You may choose “Send Now” or “Hold for Grades” if you are a current student.
- Send Now: The transcript document will contain all academic work completed as-is
- Hold for Grades: The transcript order will be put on hold until the most recent in-progress quarter concludes and/or faculty post evaluations
Before Ordering
The individual placing an order is responsible for submitting accurate profile and recipient information. Any completed orders with incorrect recipient information will require a new order to be placed. Any profile information that does not match an Evergreen record will result in a canceled order.
Know the recipient’s requirements:
- Paper or Electronic
- If Paper, Mailing Address
- If Electronic, Email Address
- Official or Unofficial
- Additional Contact Information (e.g., specific names, application number, etc.)
- Special Requirements (e.g., Law schools and overseas schools often have specific requirements.)
After Your Order is Submitted
Transcripts are reviewed to ensure all evaluations are listed in the correct order, have correct information and are free of typos.
Paper transcripts are sent by United States Postal Service (USPS). Mailing time may vary depending on distance and time of year. Evergreen does not offer tracked shipping on mailed orders at this time.
What to do
If Recipient Did Not Receive the Transcript
For electronic transcripts, make sure the notification is not in junk/spam. Once sent, electronic transcript links are only active for a limited time. Please download the file as soon as possible.
If the recipient cannot locate a transcript, contact the Evergreen Transcripts Team. We may confirm the delivery information and check if the transcript has been returned. If the electronic transcript has not been received after confirming with Evergreen’s Transcript Team that the order was completed properly, another order must be placed.

Third-Party Requests
If someone other than the student needs to request a transcript, they need to have the student sign a release form provided by the party requesting the transcript. The employer, school, parent or other is required to send the release form with a paper order form and payment to Evergreen.
