Health Administration: Finance and Budgeting

This course, tailored for health administration professionals in public sector and non-profit settings, will help students master the financial intricacies of healthcare management. This course covers essential financial management concepts, applied managerial accounting principles, and reimbursement processes, providing a solid foundation in budget creation and financial decision-making. Students will explore contract management and the complexities of legislative decision-package requests, gaining the skills needed to navigate and influence the financial landscape of healthcare organizations. This is the first of three sequential courses that comprise the Health Administration: Finance and Quality Management Certificate at Evergreen. Students who do not have substantial health administration experience are encouraged to complete the Health Administration: Policy and Organization Management certificate before enrolling in this course.
